The nation's cinema box office is currently hosting its highest grossing film of all time, pulling in a staggering 1.317bn Yuan (£137m) since the movie’s release on the 16th July.
So who, or what, is to blame for such a monstrous success? It’s Raman Hui’s Monster Hunt, a live action, fantasy, adventure, comedy film full of martial arts, shape-shifting monsters, hate-fuelled rulers and a father sworn to protect his offspring romping around ancient china.
