On 1 August, 1981, MTV took to the air for the very first time, beaming out the synth-tastic vibes of The Buggles' Video killed the radio star in a self-aware moment of broadcasting history. The medium has come a long, long way in 34 years.
The following video for Gunship's similarly synthesiser-fuelled track The Mountain has been created without a vast budget or complicated location shoot - it's been made entirely in the world of Grand Theft Auto V.
The visual spectacle was created by talented virtual editors 8-Bit Bastards using GTA V's expansive 'Director Mode' - a nod toward the vast creative scope recently added to Rockstar Games' biggest title.
Filled with cars, explosions, flaming men and slow-motion chaos, it's a little different to The Buggles' debut efforts. There's a similar level of neon though...
