These are the songs that men use to bag a date

If music is the food of love, then play on, wrote Shakespeare. Though we're not sure he had Snoop Dogg in mind when he set down that particular verse.

The dating app Happn recently integrated Spotify, in order to let users send each other song clips to flirt through their choice of music - they've now revealed the top 10 songs used by each gender to set the mood and get the opposite sex ready for their date.

You can't really argue with the top two choices - the lothario of love Mr Lionel Richie's sculpture-featuring Hello and Marvin Gaye's classic Let's Get It On, but Hot Chocolate's You Sexy Thing is a surely bit cheesy, while Snoop's I Wanna F**k You is not exactly romantic (though it does get to the point).

Another Level's bump 'n' grind classic Freak Me features (we wouldn't want any mental image of Dane Bowers getting in our way though) as well as James Blunt's inescapable You're Beautiful.

The same Lionel song also features in the top 10 of songs that women send men, although the top spot is taken by Jennifer Paige's 1998 pop classic Crush. What a tune that was.
