There's About To Be A Reboot Of Xena: Warrior Princess
Xena: Warrior Princess might be gracing our TV screens once again in all her Amazonian, leather-clad glory.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, there’s a reboot in the works at NBC, with the show’s original producers, Robert Tapert and Sam Raimi, apparently already on board and searching for a series writer.
And what of Lucy Lawless? The actress is said to be keen to reprise her role as general badass and warrior for good.
As for the small matter of the main character being dead, the show is planning a ‘modern reboot’.
Plus, Lawless’ has her own theory, as she told Den of Geek; “Screw her head back on, it’s a bit wonky, and she’s got a really bad attitude since she’s been in a box for 20 years, so they’ve got to get Xena’s mojo back, and go and save the world somehow.”
Chakrams at the ready, people.
The rumoured date is said to be in 2016, but it’s unclear whether that will be when production starts or when it will be released.
