First taste of new album from acclaimed singer-songwriter

The ShortListen: Keaton Henson (no. 333)

Who? Keaton Henson

What’s the story? Keaton Henson is your classic 'difficult', 'artistic' artist. When he first garnered attention in 2012, self-releasing his album Dear… he found performing in a conventional manner too difficult to deal with. Overcoming this during the course of releasing his second album Birthdays, he played a series of one-off gigs in unusual venues which showcased his delicate talent. This new track, Alright, is the first from his forthcoming third album Kindly Now, and it's a beautiful, dynamic track which veers from a soft, cracked delivery in the verses through to a more forthright chorus. It's evocative of the best, most fragile moments of Damien Rice, and it's really rather wonderful.

For fans of: Damien Rice, Ben Howard

In three words: Beautiful comeback ballad
