The ShortListen: Ghetts/Rude Kid (no. 350)

Another big grime tune for soundtrack song

The ShortListen: Ghetts/Rude Kid (no. 350)
14 July 2016

Who? Ghetts & Rude Kid

What’s the story? These are great times for UK grime music, and few have been doing it as well, for as long, as Ghetts. Teaming up with Rude Kid once more, following the 653 EP and the single Peng Tings, this track is a blistering blast of aggressive grime, with Ghetts' distinctive vocals sitting atop a backing that sounds like something from a funfair house of horrors - in the best possible way. As if he wanted extra brownie points, he even manages to reference Roots Manuva's classic Witness (1 Hope). The track features on the soundtrack for new Brit film The Intent which will feature a host of UK acting and musical talent - the video features footage from the movie, which is released 29 July.

For fans of: Skepta, Stormzy, Wiley

In three words: Angry twisted grime
