Who? Band of Horses
What’s the story? This year marks the tenth anniversary of the release of Seattle act Band of Horses' debut album Everything All The Time - a record that still sounds fantastic today. Of course, since then they've released a further three full-lengths, including the Grammy-nominated Infinite Arms, but their last release, 2012's Mirage Rock, divided fans. So this 'comeback' track is an important one for them - but luckily, Casual Party gives you just want you want from a Band of Horses track. Ben Bridwell's strident, pleading vocals ring out while a driving, National-esque backing pushes things along. The production is a little strange - it seems very over-compressed - but you can already imagine this being sung back at the band at full volume by fans all around the world.
For fans of: The National, R.E.M.
In three words: Strident, anthemic comeback
