Too Faced's Damn Girl mascara is available now - what you need to know
06 June 2019

Too Faced’s Better Than Sex mascara lives up to its name. The product is touted as one of the best mascara around, a cult classic selling every seven seconds, with beauty editors across the world waxing lyrical about its ability to plump your lashes and extend their reach. So it makes sense that its makers are set to launch a massive rival.

Too Faced is launching a brand-new mascara product to rival its brilliant bestseller. Called Damn Girl, it has a “revolutionary creamy mousse formula”, and uses two pigments, one opaque and creamy, one sheer and glossy. This, according to co-founder and chief creative officer Jerrod Blandino, creates “the inkiest result possibly ever”.

We'll be the judge of that when we get Damn Girl in for testing for our best mascara list but it sounds pretty impressive.

The mascara also uses an "infinity brush" that promises to uplift individual lashes. Short bristles pile on the formula, whilst longer bristles separate and define each lash.

Blandino explained where the product got its name in an interview with Vogue.

“When we got the right formula and [the] brush in-house, Elyse, our global pro artist tried it on and I said ‘damn girl those lashes are thick!’ So naturally, just like how Better Than Sex got its name, it stuck.”

And if you’re umming and ahhing over which mascara to buy, Blandino also offered a handy comparison between the two.

“Better Than Sex is flirty, fluffy, and sexy like sweet kisses on your neck. Damn Girl! is outrageous, intense and a little dangerous, like scratches down your back!”. Again, an endorsement we can get on board with.

Too Faced Damn Girl 24-hour mascara is available now on toofaced.com – and it’s only £22. For all it promises? We reckon that’s a bargain.
