The Jimmy Kimmel School of Perfect Acting

Good acting doesn’t just happen. It requires dedication, discipline and, occasionally, Jimmy Kimmel hitting you repeatedly over the head with a woggle. Lee Strasberg used that on Brando, didn’t he?

In celebration of some awards show or other that was on last night, the talk show host assembled some of the brightest acting talent on earth and whipped them into shape in a brilliant spoof video.

Eddie Redmayne, Sean Penn, Emily Blunt, Gary Oldman, Jeff Bridges and many others line up to praise the “genius” beret wearing Kimmel and submit to various forms humiliation at his hands.

Perhaps the best bit is when Jeff Bridges looks at the camera and earnestly says “I may be the dude but Jim is the dude behind the dude”.

This should be on the curriculum at RADA.

Content Director

As Content Director of Shortlist, Marc likes nothing more than to compile endless lists of an evening by candlelight. He started out life as a movie writer for numerous (now defunct) magazines and soon found himself online - editing a gaggle of gadget sites, including TechRadar, Digital Camera World and Tom's Guide UK. At Shortlist you'll find him mostly writing about movies and tech, so no change there then.
