Musicians branching out into fashion doesn’t always go down well. Sure Kanye and Pharrell have cracked it, but let’s not forget the likes of Nelly, Outkast and John Mayer’s painful jewellery line. So it’s nice to see that Oli Sykes, the frontman of heavy rock outfit Bring Me The Horizon, is actually smashing it when it comes to celebrity brands.
The new lookbook for his brand Drop Dead sees modern streetwear get a classic rock and metal makeover, with bomber jackets embroidered with skulls, oversized tie dye hoodies, football scarves and distressed jeans.
The new collection entitled BALTIC (which is out now) comprises of custom fit silhouettes designed at the brand’s headquarters in Sheffield, and takes inspiration from post-apocalyptic winter landscapes with its mixture of distressed and layered cut & sew pieces, bleached designs and custom graphic trench coats. So if this whole Trump thing does happen, at least you’ll be kitted out for it.
John Mayer, you acoustic wielding douche, take note. This is how you do it.
