The Daleks haven't aged well. While they may once have inspired enough fear to banish a generation of children behind their sofas, the modern toddler probably encounters scarier characters on CBeebies. Now the Weeping Angels - they're another matter entirely.
This incredibly atmospheric short by visual effects whiz John Smith plays out like the nightmarish Dr Who video game we never knew we wanted.
Entitled Stone, it follows some poor soul trapped in a brick-lined maze of rain-soaked streets, fleeing several of the terrifying Weeping Angels. The product of three months labour and 300 hours of rendering, Smith is our new favourite Whovian.
