You know that moment in Battlestar Galactica when all of the secret Cylons suddenly realise their shared connection and start freaking out?
Okay, so maybe that's a reference only the hardcore sci-fi fans amongst you will get - but chances are you're the ones who've come here looking to find out more about Netflix's Sense8.
The "txt" spelling of the streaming service's latest thriller hints at the crux of the new series' aforementioned 'shared connection' plot: eight individuals from eight different cities around the world wake up one day to find their minds, experiences and knowledge inexplicably linked.
From a creative team including the Wachowskis, Grant Hill (who also had a hand in The Matrix trilogy) and J. Michael Straczynski (World War Z), Sense8 looks set to itch that scratch you've been missing since Lost went from being amazing to awful.
Sense8 arrives on Netflix UK on 5 June

He started out life as a movie writer for numerous (now defunct) magazines and soon found himself online - editing a gaggle of gadget sites, including TechRadar, Digital Camera World and Tom's Guide UK. At Shortlist you'll find him mostly writing about movies and tech, so no change there then.
