Amid all the scapegoating, finger-jabbing and general discord in the wake of England’s spectacularly embarrassing exit at Euro 2016, there was one criticism of Roy Hodgson’s management we could all agree on: Harry Kane should never take set-pieces again. He shouldn’t even be allowed to look at them.
From corners to free kicks, Kane’s delivery was found wanting almost as much as England's attack, which was just crying out for some young, lofty broad-shouldered man in the classic number nine sense to attack the balls that came in the box. Oh wait…
And so for further proof that young Harry might want to stick to what he's good at, here comes an epic supercut of Kane’s set pieces during the recent Championships to relive in their horrifying glory.
According to Roy Hodgson, when he was asked why Kane was taking England's set-pieces: "He’s the best striker of the ball we have. He’s the one who gives us the best delivery."
God help us then.
