We're jealous of middle-aged men. In exchange for a receding hairline, expanding gut and growing list of joints the get stuck in the cold, they get to indulge in buying a classic car that would look ridiculous in the drive of a younger owner. It's not all bad though - we can just pick up a set of Petrolified's prints and pass on the dodgy knees.
Established by Martin Miskolci, Petrolified started life as a small Etsy print store before recently launching as a stand-alone site specialising in bringing automotive art to the masses.
Their opening collection pays tribute to some of the most iconic cars ever made: each illustration features a clean, beautifully rendered version of a wheeled legend, including the likes of the E-Type, F40 and 930 Turbo. A true petrol head, Miskolci's gorgeous site includes a detailed bio on each of the cars featured, revealing something of the story as to how each of the cars made it on to (and in some instances, left) the road.
With prints starting at around £10, be sure to head over to the site for full details, and check out out favourites below.

As Content Director of Shortlist, Marc likes nothing more than to compile endless lists of an evening by candlelight. He started out life as a movie writer for numerous (now defunct) magazines and soon found himself online - editing a gaggle of gadget sites, including TechRadar, Digital Camera World and Tom's Guide UK. At Shortlist you'll find him mostly writing about movies and tech, so no change there then.
