

With signs of Inspector Gadget’s helicopter hat finally coming to retail scant, we may have to rest our hopes on the Fly Citycopter as our personal chopper of the near future.
It certainly deserves our attention. From the mind of designer Eduardo Galvani, the intimate concept looks to be aviation’s answer to the Smart Car - a compact, manoeuvrable mode of transportation to help us blitz across cityscapes with ease.
And as with any modern city vehicle, there’s an eco-bonus: it harnesses solar energy for power, while its tri-rotor design promises an all-round quieter ride. We could go on about it’s auto-pilot and obstacle detection, too, but surely the biggest bonus, helipad providing, is never worrying about parking tickets again.
How we hope this concept gets off the ground…
