Not content with publishing his Mr Mercedes follow-up in June this year, Stephen King has announced details of another new release in the same month.
The short story Drunken Fireworks will come out on June 30th, exclusively as an audiobook via Simon & Schister Audio.
It's a brand new work that will be published in book form later in the year, as part of King's forthcoming collection of "about twenty" short stories, The Bazaar of Bad Dreams, which is due in November; a month which may well see a few real-life drunken fireworks in the UK.
There's no details on the plot as yet, but it will mean a busy June for Stephen King fans, with Finders' Keepers due on June 2nd - its cover and synopsis were recently revealed. Meanwhile, casting continues for the miniseries TV adaptation of Mr Mercedes, and his book Cell and short story One For The Road have both recently been picked up for films.
It would probably be useful if Mr King could slow down for a bit, just to give us all a chance to catch up. But there doesn't seem to be any sign of that happening any time soon.
