Spreadable Beer Butter

Sandwiches are amazing - you can basically use any combination of flavours, and as long as they're between two slices of bread, it's acceptable.

But this is a new one on us.

Italian friends Emanuela Laurenzi or Alta Quota Brewery, and Pietro Napoleone of Napopeone Chocolate Makers have combined to devastating efect to create 'spreadable beer'.

Two varieties, in 'Greta Blonde' and 'Omid Dark' are available to buy from Selfridges and surely means an end to the old adage 'eating is cheating' when indulging in a lengthy session. Alcoholics everywhere rejoice.
