The humble garden shed is a temple that every man, at some point in his life, should own.
Whether for the purposes of R&R or just getting away from the daily, nay hourly hell that is life, it is a sanctuary - a haven for men across the globe. (Oh god we're crying)
So, it will come as no surprise that some creative gents have built their wooden abodes with painstaking love and care and entered them into this year's prestigious 2012 shed of the year awards.
And hark, what's that? The competition is still open? If you think your shed is worthy then head here to enter, post haste. Bear in mind that there are eight different shed categories, including eco, pub and Tardis and the competition closes on May 20. The finalists will be put to a public vote on May 21 and the winner will receive £1000. Enough to buy your shed a garage.
To see what you're up against, here's a selection of stupendous sheds already entered:
(This one's clearly pushing the boundaries, surely this is more treehouse? )
