They say revenge is a dish best served cold, but waiting six years to enact retribution, well, that’s some next level plotting.
However, once you discover that it’s the Church of Scientology that has lingered this long over its reprisal and suddenly everything makes sense.
The controversial cult/religion (delete as appropriate) has begun to investigate outspoken South Park creators Matt Stone and Trey Parker in retaliation for the pair’s infamous 2005 episode Trapped in the Closet, which gleefully poked big fun at the likes of Tom Cruise, John Travolta and other high profile Scientology advocates.
A former high ranking Scientology member has blown the whistle on the inquiry, describing the Church’s practices as a ‘classic’ investigation. Which in everyday speak means much checking up of Stone and Parker's friends, family and associates and even going as far as rifling through their bins to dig up dirt. Surely the colourful Stone and Parker can’t have anything untoward lurking in their closets. Can they?
