It's almost as if this team of engineers in East Vancouver, Canada, had drilled straight into our brain as an 8-year-old, captured our deepest longing, and transformed it into reality.
The Titanoboa group have built a 35-foot robot snake, weighing more than a ton. And as if this wasn't enough, they've also built an eight-legged, 1700lb 'Mondo Spider' so it has someone to play with.
Footage of the two in action has been released on YouTube, and it's only when you see the Spider carrying a fully-grown man around that you realise just how big these things are.
The 35-foot version is merely the prototype for a full 50-foot monster, which apparently will have more polished-looking skin and be able to move underwater.
Please, please, please, someone make a robot T-Rex and soon.
