Opposable thumbs are great. Instrumental in the progress of the human race, they're useful for gripping stuff, conveying approval and - most vitally - gaming. Their only flaw? They're not see-through.
iPhone gamers have long had to put up with awkward controls for many of their games, either blocking sections of the screen with their digits or craving a tactile surface to pummel. While several attempts to solve this issue have come and gone, gaming specialists Razer look to have constructed a viable, pocket-friendly solution.
This is the Razer Junglecat - an iPhone case worth getting excited about. Fitting both the iPhone 5 and 5s, the back of the case slides down to reveal a Game Boy-esque D-pad and ABXY buttons, with additional left and right shoulder buttons. While bulking up your phone (to 150 x 65mm), the Junglecat doesn't block access to any of your iPhone's buttons or headphone port. An accompanying app also lets you tweak and change button functions for all your games.
Available from July for £79.99, you'll finally get the require thumb accuracy to complete the Oil Ocean Zone of Sonic 2.
