Queen to Rent Out Rooms During Olympics

Times are tough, the cuts are deepening, and Europe is on the verge of collapse. Everyone's tightening their belts a little and watching those pennies; even, it seems, Queen Elizabeth II.

She has agreed to rent out state apartments in St. James Palace during the London Olympics, to be held in the summer of next year.

It won't come cheap at £30,000 ($48,000) a day, but we'd guess you'll definitely get a free breakfast for that, and maybe even a chance to play with the corgis.

Having said that, St. James isn't the Queen's royal residence - that's Buckingham Palace - but it houses the offices of William and Harry, so any ladies looking for a chance to snare the remaining prince may well want to apply now.
