Well, we bet no-one saw this one coming.
Angus Kennedy, a 47-year-old father-of-five, has had to quit his job as a chocolate taster out of fears for his health. Since obtaining the £30,000-a-year job in 2010, Kennedy had gained two stone (28lbs).
Companies, including Mars and Nestle, would trust his gluttonous experience and send him a variety of sweet treats before they were mass produced to ensure he gave them the thumbs up. He would eat around 2lbs of a day. At trade shows he would often eat 3lbs of chocolate in less than 12 hours. Dream job eh?
After his calorific diet saw his weight balloon from 11-and-a-half stone (161lbs) to 13-and-a-half-stone (189lbs), he was warned by doctors that he could be facing a heart attack if he continued.
"The only problem with eating chocolate from 9 to 5, of course, is the predictable weight gain and high cholesterol, Kennedy "revealed".
He's now employing a team of tasters in the hope that he can spread his cholesterol problems to an entirely new generation.
