Have you ever thought about what comes next?
Not in terms of which kitten video you're going to distract yourself with when you're done reading this - what comes after life?
It's the macabre theme at the heart of LIMBO, a haunting side-scrolling puzzle adventure game by the indie development team Playdead. It scooped almost every video game award going when it was released back in 2010, and has subsequently been released on consoles, smartphones and PC.
Awaking in a darkened forest, you play a nameless boy who appears to have awoken in a state of limbo to seek out his lost sister. There's no dialogue, no character text - just saw mills, giant spiders and some of the most beautiful vistas we've ever wandered through.
If you're yet to play this absolute classic (where have you been?) the good news is that it's currently only £6.99 (at the time of publishing this article, it was free for a temporary time). Head over to Steam and you can download it.
You'd be a fool not to. That, or you're probably too scared to find out what's lurking in the depths of the wood...
