Noel Gallagher: "I Want The Smiths To Reform"

Reunions are just as big business as hot new acts these days - just ask Take That, Blur and The Stone Roses.

And a man constantly having to deal with talk of reunions is former Oasis guitarist Noel Gallagher, this despite crafting out a hugely successful solo career since leaving his former band.

As part of a reader-questions interview with ShortList ahead of the release of his second solo album, Chasing Yesterday, Noel responded to a question about his dream reunion by choosing a fellow legendary Manchester group in the form of the Smiths. Despite constant rumours since their split in 1987, the band have never come close to getting back together.

Watch Noel answer the question below, and look out for the full interview with Noel in ShortList and on ShortList.com on Wednesday and Thursday.
