This is not a drill: Mario's greatest adversary has just infiltrated Nintendo of America.
Significant portions of the company's filing system are said to be in flames, oversized ammunition is wrecking havoc to office supplies and a PA by the name name of P. Peach hasn't been seen since Wednesday evening.
Okay, so we might be embellishing the story a touch - but Nintendo's American branch really has just hired a chap by the name of Doug Bowser as the new vice president of sales.
Previously of Electronic Arts, Bowser has already been the subject of a few good-natured jokes, with Nintendo sending out a press release reading: “Doug Bowser brings decades of experience, not fire breath, to new role...".
Bowser continued in the spirit of things, posing for the following tweet...
There are several gags in there, you just have to go looking for them.
Here's hoping Nintendo follows up their latest hire by bringing in Chris Ganondorf as head of marketing and William Wario as chief press officer.
