It’s a long time since we’ve seen Ernst Stavro Blofeld, mainly because Roger Moore dropped him down a giant chimney in 1981, but his organisation at least makes a fleeting appearance in the very teasery new Bond trailer.
In it, MI6 is in ruins and Bond has a secret. What that secret is, of course, is not made clear, but a charred photo suggests Bond might have a long lost relative of some kind. Long lost relatives are always popping up and causing trouble, aren't they.
The most exciting moment is the chilling glimpse of the SPECTRE octopus on a ring and the silhouetted figure of Christopher Waltz. As he says “and finally, here we are”.
Spectre will be in UK cinemas from 6th November

As Content Director of Shortlist, Marc likes nothing more than to compile endless lists of an evening by candlelight. He started out life as a movie writer for numerous (now defunct) magazines and soon found himself online - editing a gaggle of gadget sites, including TechRadar, Digital Camera World and Tom's Guide UK. At Shortlist you'll find him mostly writing about movies and tech, so no change there then.
