If you've seen Miss Congeniality then we're not talking to you anymore.
That movie, IMDB tells us, is about a stunning policewoman who goes undercover and enters a beauty pageant to prevent a group from bombing the event. Apparently there's lots of laughs on the way too.
This is nothing like that and has less laughs. This is the real life Miss Penitentiary pageant at the Women's Prison of Brasilia. Out of 12 finalists selected by a modeling agency, Raira Passion [below] received the highest number of votes, earning her freedom from prison and her conviction quashed!
Just kidding, she won the right to wear the sash and crown. The prison hosts the yearly event because it believes it gives inmates goals, pride and steps towards improving their self-esteem.
