Don't get us wrong, we're proud to be a website and magazine dedicated to men. Yes, we have female readers (come here often, ladies?) but on the whole we enjoy the trappings of maleness. And we do it quite well.
It's with a degree of disappointment then we bring you news that some of the Y-chromosome crew have let the side down somewhat.
Cast your eyes towards the pics above. These images from an attraction called The Nightmare Fears Factory were taken in a the oldest haunted house in North America. The runners of said house released the images of patrons touring their establishment with varying degrees of bravery.
The overriding theme? Men holding women between them and whatever danger they sensed.
In the interests of fair journalism (and this is journalism) we've also included some other scared people, not just men (but mainly) below. Let's all try to man up a touch, eh?

As Content Director of Shortlist, Marc likes nothing more than to compile endless lists of an evening by candlelight. He started out life as a movie writer for numerous (now defunct) magazines and soon found himself online - editing a gaggle of gadget sites, including TechRadar, Digital Camera World and Tom's Guide UK. At Shortlist you'll find him mostly writing about movies and tech, so no change there then.
