Spring is taking its sweet time about thawing us out after a long, hard, extended winter, but now that the clocks have gone forward, it’s time to ditch the heavy overcoat in favour of a spring jacket. Whether it’s warm or not.
Luckily, this premium camouflage-print classic Fred Perry bomber is lightly waxed to keep the wind out and the (no doubt lashing) April showers at bay. Plus, it has just a flash of colour from the tartan lining to substantiate its seasonality until it actually cheers up out there.
And with this look’s nod to mod (see p36 for more), skinhead and an army surplus renaissance, it’s versatile enough to warrant shelling out on the £225 price tag. Maybe it’ll even inspire us to get on the tennis court and play a couple of sets. Maybe not just yet though.
