Gran Turismo 4Forza Motorsport 5
It takes determination, razor-sharp skill and above all a superb car. So when McLaren won the illustrious race 20 years ago, you can bet they had one of the finest cars on the grid: the F1 GTR.
Actually, it had five of them, taking 1st, 3rd, 4th, 5th and 13th place respectively. But that’s not the point, and marking the two decades since the model ripped up the competition, the special operations branch of the supercar brand is now behind this special edition 650S.
Complete with lightweight Le Mans Edition wheels, extended MSO side blades, an MSO rear diffuser, exposed carbon fiber running throughout the aerodynamic bodywork and a 3.8-liter turbocharged V-8 growling underneath, it really is something special.
Best of all, just like the original F1 GTR, the 650S coupe even features a ‘snorkel’ intake to help fuel that gargantuan engine. Though we advise any attempts to drive it underwater, as with only 50 of the cars being made each car will cost around £244,000.
On second thoughts, we’ll stick to the computer games for now.
