Matthew Perry, that nice man that was once on that Friends programme that you watched. Justin Trudeau, that nice man that currently looks after Canada and everybody fancies.
You’d think the two weren’t really connected in any way, wouldn’t you? Well, you’d be wrong, because both men have a shared interest: Canada. Perry is half Canadian and Trudeau is well, the most Canadian. But it goes further than that – they also both went to the same school. AND EVEN FURTHER – Perry’s mum was press secretary for Justin’s dad, while he was PM. Crazy.
If your mind isn’t already sufficiently blown, pink matter seeping from your ears and staining your shoulder pads, well, get this: they once had a fight.
Yep, Matthew Perry from F.R.I.E.N.D.S had a barney with Justin Trudeau from C.A.N.A.D.A. Don’t believe me? Watch this:
Sorry to get your hopes up there, it wasn’t an actual video of the two of them swinging punches in a car park while someone shouts “WORLDSTAR! WORLDSTAR!” – it was just Matthew Perry finally admitting he did it.
Turns out him and his mate Chris beat up little Justin, because they were jealous that he was good at sports. Poor Justin, he was a good two years younger than Big Boy Pezza and Chrissy Chris – bit of an unfair fight, I reckon.
Either way, rematch? Perry mentions they haven’t met as adults, so maybe it’s about time they did. In the ring. Without Chris.
