Anthony Kenneth Mastrogiovanni, you sir have failed.

Police in Maryland say Mastrogiovanni was rumbled impersonating a policeman when he tried to pull over a real off-duty cop.

The unfortunate crook pulled over the Capitol Heights cop for speeding on Route 301 in North Marlboro. The 29-year-old was driving a white pickup truck, complete with blue and red police lights in the windshield.

When the real policeman identified himself Mastrogiovanni persevered, claiming to be a military officer from Louisiana.

The officer pointed out that if that were the case he was out of his jurisdiction and contacted county police, adding that having emergency lights in the truck was illegal. Cover blown Mastrogiovannie fled the scene but was later arrested.
