A Chinese driver blamed his extra wide mobile phone screen for crashing his car on Chuyong Highway in eastern China's Zhejiang Province.

According to Huang Yong he was approaching the entrance of a tunnel when his phone rang. Without stopping the car (illegal), he tried several times to unlock the phone using one hand. Huang then released both hands from the steering wheel (illegal) to unlock the screen.

Huang said it's not the first time he has done this (illegal), and he couldn't figure out why this time the car went out of control. Huang’s car smashed into a fence at the side of the road, injuring a female passenger who was not wearing a seat belt (illegal). Huang was fined 2,000 Yuan and had two points deducted from his annual allowance of 12.
