Nearly one year after their last album Battle Born, The Killers are back with a new track, Shot At The Night - and it's very good indeed.
The song is one of two new tracks written and recorded for their forthcoming greatest hits compilation, titled Direct Hits, and is produced by M83's Anthony Gonzales.
Perhaps surprisingly, the track sounds almost more like an M83 track than a Killers one, with definite echoes of Gonzalez's breakthrough hit Midnight City - this is obviously no bad thing.
The other new track was produced by Stuart Price and is called Just Another Girl and will feature alongside a new Calvin Harris remix of When You Were Young on the deluxe edition hits album.
Listen to Shot At The Night below and see what you think.
Direct Hits is released November 11
