Jeremy Piven is a man with impeccable taste. How do we know? We interviewed the star in this week’s magazine, where, among other things, he spoke of his love for Andy Murray, The Rolling Stones, Keith Moon, and, caddishly, women from the UK.
Not that they’re the only British institutions he’s fond of – it transpires that, thanks to his time over in the UK filming the latest series of ITV’s Mr Selfridge, he’s also turned into quite the Luther obsessive: “I love it,” he says. “I’m a friend of Idris’s [Elba] and I’ve told him I’m addicted to it. People ask if I’ve seen Coronation Street, but I can’t say I have - I’m far too busy poring over Luther.”
And if you thought Piven’s pally rapport with Elba ends there, think again: “I’ve seen him [DJ] once or twice – the man has talent,” continues Piven. “I’m even living in his old house when I'm in London. The neighbours were overjoyed with Idris moving out, they thought they were living in Ibiza beforehand."
