I’d like you to recall a time when nothing felt more important than the toy contained within a box of cereal, dentists were – without exception – irredeemable scumbags who only wanted to cause you pain, you could ride a micro scooter without worrying about anyone calling you a twat, and your favourite video game was Crash Bandicoot.
Crash was essentially Sony’s answer to Mario back in the mid-’90s, and the early games he featured in were among the best-loved of the PlayStation One era. Now, some 20 years later, the anthropomorphic marsupial is back in Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy, a collection of 4K-ready, HD remasters of the first three titles in the series.
The Crash Bandicoot name has been bolted onto countless spin-offs over the years, but it’s these games – originally developed by Naughty Dog – that our hopelessly nostalgic hearts pine for.
But how well do you actually remember them? Prepare for the the PS4 game by taking our little quiz. Go on – do it.
