Gucci finally does boats

Fashion brands have been dipping their toes in all sorts of different ventures of late.

Armani has moved into hotels, Prada now makes mobile phones, and Gucci, it seems is wandering into the boat-making business.

To celebrate the brand's 90-year anniversary, Gucci's creative director Frida Giannini has collaborated with Officina Italian Design and Riva boats to produce the "Aquariva", a luxury 33-foot pleasure cruiser, perfect for totting around the Italian lakes in.

Painted in Gucci's own hue of glossy white, the waterproof fabric covering the seats has been adorned with Gucci's emblematic print and the bed sheets in the decadent bedroom is the brand's own white cotton.

A specially designed two-speed electronic gear harnesses the two 380-horsepower engines, which are capable of a top speed of 41 knots and a range of 150-miles.

No word on pricing just yet, but the boat is off on a global tour of the world's most prestigious boat shows, and is currently wowing crowds at Milan Fashion Week. If you can't wait till it pulls into a show near you, each boat is made-to-order through Riva Boat dealers, which can be found at rivaboats
