

It's a question regularly asked, what makes a great singer?
There's a variety of factors at play: emotion, huskiness, raw power - but something that we can measure is vocal range - the number of notes, from top to bottom, that each artist has to play with.
And the people at Concert Hotels have done just that, creating this brilliant infographic which shows the lowest and highest notes sung by a host of legendary singers.
Axl Rose and Mariah Carey take the top two spots in terms of range, Mariah pips Christina Aguilera to the title of highest note and, perhaps surprisingly, Axl edges out 'The Walrus of Love' Barry White to lowest note.
However, as we all know - it's not how much you've got, it's what you do with it that counts.
