We've all experienced it. Your house party is in full swing, your playlist accruing a smattering of compliments, when a rogue film soundtrack sneaks into the mix. As you scramble to unplug your iPod, the Imperial March kills the atmosphere quicker than a force choke.
That's not to say there isn't a time and a place for a movie soundtracks - we'd have a pretty extensive collection if the cover artwork was designed by Simon Delart. The Parisian designer has reworked icons from of some of the greatest film scores ever recorded with a triangle-filled low poly effect to create a series of gorgeous vinyl covers.
The sleeves included entries for Star Wars, Jurassic Park and the *VVWWWAAAAARRNNNPPP*-heavy Inception. Plug yourself in to your favourite soundtrack and take a look through our favourites. You can see more of Delart's work over on his Behance page.

As Content Director of Shortlist, Marc likes nothing more than to compile endless lists of an evening by candlelight. He started out life as a movie writer for numerous (now defunct) magazines and soon found himself online - editing a gaggle of gadget sites, including TechRadar, Digital Camera World and Tom's Guide UK. At Shortlist you'll find him mostly writing about movies and tech, so no change there then.
