Gaming characters invade art

Published

Those high-brow types, who listen to Classic FM and eat weeknight dinners at a table, might label video games as intellectually inferior and childish.

But as a way of sticking his gaming finger up at the snobs, Guillaume Colomb has introduced iconic video game characters into classic pieces of art.

We can see Pac-Man chomping his way through a Miró, Peach enjoying a warm Seurat day and Mario being a bit of a perv in a John William Waterhouse. Oh and yes, we didn't know all of those from memory.

You can see more of his work here.
