One of the big questions facing humanity is: what are estate agents actually for? Some of the greatest minds have grappled with this puzzle for centuries but no convincing explanation has ever been produced. Until now.
Estate agents are there to provide a huge source of much needed amusement by being scared senseless in a haunted house prank.
In a promo for new Sky Living programme The Enfield Haunting, a wonderful person thought it would be a good idea to get some Enfield estate agents to assess the house of a kindly old woman and, as they strolled round in their suede loafers, have various things bang and move around. The genuine screams and jumps of pure fear are wonderful to behold.
The funniest thing is that at no point did any estate agent realise that it must be a prank because, you know, ghosts – like fairies, unicorns and Dale Winton – don’t actually exist.
