Someone has discovered what happened next to distracted boyfriend meme's poor girlfriend

We’ve all seen it - the face that launched a thousand memes, the “distracted boyfriend”. You’ve almost certainly seen it, but if not a few examples:

The basic premise: a man, walking down the street with his girlfriend, is distracted by another attractive woman. Girlfriend is annoyed, the end.

OR IS IT? Apparently not. 

Not according to Twitter user Andrew J Abernathy‏, who recently unearthed a bunch more photos of the pair and put together a story of what really happened next.

First off: distracted boyfriend’s girlfriend struggles with her homework. 

So far, so banal. But wait - looks like they’re investing in something together. 

AND……SHE’S PREGNANT. 

Things don’t stay so rosy forever: looks like he’s gone and she’s left holding the baby. Typical. 

And weirdly, it turns out, a man who cranes his neck like a literal owl to look at women on the street is not very faithful to his girlfriend. 

Don’t worry, though: it all worked out in the end. For her, anyway…
