In the Mayan countdown to the apocalypse, we understand that there's a small portion dedicated to some telltale warning signs from Hollywood. Already this year, we've seen the Battlesehip movie become an actual thing and a Hungry Hungry Hippos film officially announced but the insanity doesn't end there.

After the surprising success of the Pirates of the Caribbean franchise, Disney are pushing forward with a TV series based on another one of their iconic rides.

The Thunder Mountain Railroad might not strike you as a rollercoaster that really needs a more detailed plot but they are pushing forward with a “supernatural adventure drama” at ABC based on the runaway trains. The script comes from the capable hands of Chris Morgan (Fast and Furious) and Jason Fuchs (Ice Age: Continental Drift). Hmmm.

For those who didn't pay attention at Disneyland, the original ride was originally based around the idea that the railroads were possessed. Plus there's some unexplained dinosaur bones.

That's enough for a series right?
