'Continuing their unrelenting quest for world domination, Disney has reportedly now set its sights on Deadmau5, taking the musician to court citing trademark infringement between the DJ’s big eared logo and that of Mickey Mouse.

While the electronic musician's logo is already a registered trademark in 30 countries including the UK and Ireland, this is not the case in America, where legal action is brewing over the alleged likeness to Florida’s most famous rodent.

In the legal form drafted by Disney in relation to the trademark dispute, 'Applicant's Mouse Ears Mark is nearly identical in appearance, connotation, and overall commercial impression to Disney's Mouse Ears Marks.'

In response to the development, Deadmau5 took to social media to air his surprise, Tweeting “Lawyer up Mickey”, “Disney thinks you might confuse an established electronic musician / performer with a cartoon mouse. That's how stupid they think you are.”, and, layering on the sarcasm, “I’m sorry frozen fucking tanked huge.... I really am. but c’mon.”

Does he have a right to be cheesed off? Or is he taking the Mickey? Time will tell.
