Everyone has a favourite conspiracy theory – even if you don’t think you do. Ooh, see what we did there? They are everywhere. Ours is that communist Muslims led by Princess Diana murdered Kurt Cobain to stop him revealing the truth behind the birth certificate of Barack Obama. It’s a terrific yarn.
Crack advertising agency Ogilvy & Mather are also fond of a far-fetched theory too. Well, we presume they are if this series of conspiracy theories in the form of plastic model kits are anything to go by.
Produced as print ads for Japanese plastic model kit company Tamiya, the kits illustrate the conspiracy theories surrounding such figures as Elvis and Marilyn Monroe; the mystery of JFK’s assassination and such incidents as Roswell and the contentious moon landings.
Our challenge to them, though, is to depict our favourite tall story.

As Content Director of Shortlist, Marc likes nothing more than to compile endless lists of an evening by candlelight. He started out life as a movie writer for numerous (now defunct) magazines and soon found himself online - editing a gaggle of gadget sites, including TechRadar, Digital Camera World and Tom's Guide UK. At Shortlist you'll find him mostly writing about movies and tech, so no change there then.
