Classic Literature Turned Into Comic Books

If we'd had these at school, we'd have studied a lot harder.

These superb Classical Comics take legendary novels and plays and convert them into comic books; either using original or simplified texts. While Shakespearean language can often take a little decoding, these books help the reader visualise exactly what's going on. In addition, they're fantastic to look at.

There's 15 in the series so far, taking in classic texts such as Macbeth (which, for example, clocks in at an impressive 150 pages), An Inspector Calls, FrankensteinA Christmas Carol and many more - they retail at £9.99 each from the Classical Comics website.

We have one example page from fourteen titles below - delve into them without delay.

Content Director

As Content Director of Shortlist, Marc likes nothing more than to compile endless lists of an evening by candlelight. He started out life as a movie writer for numerous (now defunct) magazines and soon found himself online - editing a gaggle of gadget sites, including TechRadar, Digital Camera World and Tom's Guide UK. At Shortlist you'll find him mostly writing about movies and tech, so no change there then.
