Who says The Disney Channel is just for kids? Not us, we pinkie-promise you.
There's been a sharp rise in the number of grown-ups tuning in recently, specifically thanks to hit cartoon Phineas & Ferb and its recent episodes themed around Star Trek and Lost (how much do you think the writers are enjoying their jobs?).
Which could well explain how its creators have gone all out for a forthcoming Halloween episode, Night of the Living Pharmacists, by procuring the voice talents of none other than Simon Pegg and Nick Frost, with the duo reprising their roles in Shaun of the Dead for the special one-hour airing.
Cartoonified, slacker icons Shaun and Ed look almost as good as they did back in the first part of Edgar Wright’s Cornetto Trilogy, and the pop culture shocks don't end there, either. The makers of the show have also snapped up zombie legend George A Romero, who'll be making a cameo as a news reporter.
Looks like we have a new favourite show. Even if we will have to put up with sofa-dwelling Dads telling us ‘we told you so’.

Phineas and Ferb premieres on Saturday, 4 October on The Disney Channel

As Content Director of Shortlist, Marc likes nothing more than to compile endless lists of an evening by candlelight. He started out life as a movie writer for numerous (now defunct) magazines and soon found himself online - editing a gaggle of gadget sites, including TechRadar, Digital Camera World and Tom's Guide UK. At Shortlist you'll find him mostly writing about movies and tech, so no change there then.
