Some refurbish old buildings. Others retune classic cars. At Analogue Interactive, they redesign retro consoles.
This shining beacon of old skool cool is the Analogue Nt - an all-aluminium remodelling of the grandfather of all consoles, the NES.
Having already worked the magic on the Neo Geo (available in any finish of wood you'd like) Analogue Interactive have taken the core hardware of the NES and reengineered it, sealing it away in a solid block of aircraft grade aluminium. The larger slot will take European and North American cartridges, while the smaller slot takes Japanese cartridges, hinting that the NT will contain both NES and Famicom hardware.
With prices and further details to be announced at the end of the month, it's time head up the attic and start blowing down the old cartridges.
