A London toilet is on the market for £1m

They really are taking the piss now aren't they?

A 'charming and quirky' former underground toilet in Shoreditch, East London, has gone on the market, with offers in excess of £1m being sought.

Listed as a 'fantastic opportunity' for use as a bar or restaurant, it features a lower ground floor unit of 600 square foot, and 'from private outside seating area' of approximately 435 square foot.

Yes, we don't know what 'from private outside seating area' means either, although it possibly refers to the strip of concrete around the entrance, next to Commercial Street. Frankly, we're not sure how nice that would be to sit on.

Granted, the location is pretty good - opposite Spitalfield market, within walking distance of Liverpool Street, Aldgate East, Aldgate and Shoreditch High Street stations, and next to Christ Church, Spitalfields - but that's about all it's got going for it.

It's London though, so someone will buy it. If you fancy making a bid, head to the listing here
